Mobile Post: To Fall for a Shoe
All of this changed for me on Saturday afternoon when I dropped in Bergdorf's for the very first time, went up to level two and saw the mythical shoe on display with a beam of light shining down; choir singing "ah." It was a 38!!! I asked my new fav SA (aka Sales Associate) if they actually had it before I got my hopes up. He confirmed they did and as expected, it was the last pair. After playing Cinderella to make sure it fit, and it SO did, I noticed some ladies staring at me and whispering about the shoe. Apparently one of them was about to put it on hold for another shopper. Oh @#&*, right? I thought they were going to take them away, but "no way Jose" to the rescue! They are currently kickin' it in my livingroom like a piece of art on display! Here's my dilemma - knowing demand for these beauties is high and supply is approaching zero, the entrepreneur in me wants to see how much they might go for on eBay. There are currently none listed and I'm certain people are looking. Poochie of Shoe Daydreams advised me not to sell, "they're an iconic shoe!" My friend Rickey Bird, who loved to see the bird print as such a hot commodity, said I should at least wear them once before listing them..
